General care advice for jewellery
- Storage: Store your jewelry separately in soft bags or jewelry boxes to avoid unnecessary scratches and tangles.
- Avoid contact with chemicals: Always remove your jewelry if you are going to use chemicals that may come into contact with it. Such as perfume, hairspray, lotions or cleansers, chlorine, etc.
- Always remove your jewelery during activity: Remove your jewelery during physical activity, showering, bathing and swimming to avoid unnecessary damage, discoloration and wear.
Specific care advice for different materials

GOLD
Cleaning: Use a solution of lukewarm water and a few drops of mild detergent. Brush gently with a soft toothbrush, rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth.
Polishing: Use a polishing cloth designed for gold to restore the shine after cleaning your jewelry.
Professional polishing: We recommend that you periodically submit your gold jewelry for inspection by a goldsmith. Then you can have the jewelry polished so that it regains its shine and the goldsmith can detect any major wear and tear that may need to be repaired.

sterling silver
Oxidation: Silver oxidizes and darkens over time, these are silver's natural properties. To restore the shine, you can buy silver cleaning from your goldsmith.
We can advise on the brands: Haggerty silver cleaning, Connoisseurs silver cleaning or Goddard's silver cleaning.
Cleaning: After cleaning your jewelry, you can use a soft cloth or a special silver polishing cloth to remove discoloration and restore some shine.
Professional polishing: Our silver jewelry can be handed in to a goldsmith for polishing when it has been affected by the ravages of time.

vermeil

Vermeil is a surface coating that can last many years if you follow our care advice. However, the surface wears with all kinds of use and may need to be restored by a goldsmith.

JEWELRY WITH PRECIOUS STONES AND DIAMONDS (INCLUDING LAB GROWN AND CONFLICT FREE):
Cleaning: Use a solution of lukewarm water and mild detergent. Brush gently around the setting of the stone and on the piece itself with a soft toothbrush, rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth.
Check: Regularly inspect the setting of the jewelry to ensure that the stone is properly seated. Should the stone be loose or difficult to see, return the piece to a goldsmith for inspection.
